Optical filters for ultraviolet sterilization

uv殺菌用光学フィルター

Filters for ultraviolet sterilization light sources

Principles

The cells of bacteria and other organisms contain DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid), which carries their genetic information. This DNA has an absorption spectrum in the ultraviolet light region (and especially in the UV-C region), with an absorption maximum at around 260 nm. It is thought that when DNA is irradiated with ultraviolet light in the UV-C region, the DNA that absorbs the light receives damage that inhibits the cell division and cell growth, which results in the inability to proliferate and to death.

Features

These are filters that can efficiently transmit ultraviolet rays in the UV-C region, which is the region with high bactericidal effect, and can selectively transmit specific wavelengths (and block unwanted wavelengths). We will respond to your requests regarding wavelengths, transmittance, stop bands, etc.

Spectroscopic characteristics: AR (antireflection film) pass filter type, band filter type

Material: SiO2, Al2O3, etc.

Size: Square, round, etc.

Quantity: We support anything from one filter to mass production.

Quality assurance: We meet your needs.
Constant temperature and humidity tests, heat cycle tests, heat resistance tests, boiling tests, adhesion confirmation tests

Applications

Sterilization of water and solutions: Drinking water, raw material water, aquaculture, etc.

Sterilization of airborne bacteria: Air conditioners, air purifiers, hand dryers, etc.

Sterilization of material surfaces: Portable devices, masks, medical equipment, cooking utensils, sanitary products, etc.
