Product Lineup

DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coating
Features

DLC is produced by OCJfs unique plasma CVD method. DLC has two good points, which are high transmittance over the IR region and high durability. It is suitable for IR windows for vision sensors, lens coating and for the protection window for CO2 lasers.


Typical Characteristics

High transmittance over IR region

DLC is transparent in the IR region and since its refractive index is about 2.2, it can
be used as an A/R coating over Ge and Si substrates.





High durability

High hardness and superior abrasion resistance make DLC useful as a protection
coating. It passes the Abrasion test: MIL-C-48497A 4.5.5.1
(sand eraser with 1kg pressure).

Humidity : No change after 600 hours at 85 degrees C/ 85% Rh
Adhesiveness : Passed MIL-C-48497A 4.5.3.1
Salt water : Passed at 85 degrees C/ 5wt% / 24hrs
Cosmetics : It meets with 80-50 in MIL-O-13830
Max coating size : 400 mm diameter
