OCJ Core Technology

Control technology

It is required to accumulate thin film layers onto a substrate precisely as designed in order to realize the requested optical characteristics.

It is imperative to have a stable coating process and accurate thickness control to accumulate multi layer thin films precisely. Such structures can comprise several hundred layers.

Quartz Crystal Oscillator and Optical Monitoring System are major methods for the said thin film thickness control.OCJ uses a unique optical monitoring system for production. This OMS allows precision coating with designed thin film thickness by analyzing the fluctuating optical signals during coating and by processing these by computer.

Thanks to this OMS, OCJ can consistently and stably produce the various kinds of required filters for a wide range of wavelengths from UV and visible up to the infrared by fully automated methods.
